Today is the day to celebrate YOU!
I have been so excited to hear all of your stories of success and triumph and change! You have made huge strides in your life, you have made changes and made commitments to yourself and your family - to be healthier and happier and live a more natural life.
Today is all about celebrating you!
It's Time to Celebrate!
We talked a lot in January about goal setting and the effort it takes to make a change in your brain, and how to make it last. If you missed that newsletter you can check it out here (it was a pretty good one).
For now though, we are going to take a step back and do some reflection. It's been about a month since this year started...how are you doing?
And, before you get caught up on all the things you haven't done 'right' - let's remember this is a day of celebration! :)
Let's look behind us and see the distance we've come, the changes you have bravely made and all of the times you showed up for yourself and your health!
I know how amazing you are, and I'm tickled pink every day when I hear your amazing stories, your successes - Remember every day that YOU are AMAZING!!
Sometimes we can get so caught up in the goals we set and in how far we have left to go we forget to pause and celebrate how far we’ve already come.
So, take a moment and pause.
Take a deep breath.
Honour how far you've come, the goals you've reached and surpassed and the progress you've made towards new goals.
If your progress has been slower than you anticipated, or than you would like, have compassion and patience for your body.
Focus on the small changes. I know that there are a lot of them. Just because we haven't reached 'perfection' yet doesn't mean we haven't done something amazing already.
Sometimes when we start to feel better we don't even notice some of the small things that are different.
Improving your health doesn't usually happen overnight. It takes consistent effort, creating new habits and a great deal of dedication to yourself. If you're curious as to how long it actually takes to create a new habit you can find out here.
Celebrate your progress! You have come so far!
